4:45 PM Homburg, Germany

4:45 PM Homburg, Germany

Imaging reveals that Coleman's portal vein and the larger liver veins are open. The imaging does not disclose the status of the smaller veins. This information indicates one of two things: Coleman does not have VOD or that, though the course was not completed, the Activated Protein C did what the doctors hoped it would do (open these veins).

His liver is still not functioning and the doctors continue to try to stablize his lungs, which they remain very concerned about, and to keep his bleeding in check.

Please pray that the doctors can discover cause and then match cause with cure.

  4. Dear Eric and Belinda,

I know of your situation from your neighbors Phil and Gayla. They are cousins to my former host parents who live in Idaho. Gayla remembered I stayed with them a couple of years ago and that I was from Germany. She called my parents who live in Hamburg and throug them got a hold of me. She thought being so close to the hospital where Coleman is, maybe I could stop by and see you. Unfortunantely we live in Hamburg, not Homburg, which as you know is several hours away from where you are so I can not just come to the hospital which I would have done in a heartbeat.
Still though, if there is ANYTHING we can do for you and if there is ANYTHING you need that we could possibly help you with please let me know. My e-mail is annika@die-hansens.de and my cell phone # is 01522 9535342. Please don't hesitate to write or call! I would love to give some of the support and love I have experienced in your country back in some way.

Our kindest thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and Coleman!

    Annika.

  6. Lord,
Continue to provide Coleman with the strength he needs to keep fighting. Give the doctors the wisdom and continued determination to help Coleman through this. Place Your loving arms around the Hinkefent family and let them feel your peace. We love you. It's in your precious son's name I pray. Amen

Hang in there Coleman and keep fighting! You are so strong and so many people are rooting for you!

  7. Belinda & Family,
I know you are growing weary, but Galations 6:9 says "And let us not be weary for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not"
Psalm 31:14,15: But I trusted in, relied on and was confident in you, O Lord, You are my God, My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of foes and those who persue me and persecute me." Like David we must learn to put our confidence in the Lord, trusting him to deliver us out of our circumstances-and into the next right thing, in his perfect timing.
I know you are tired, and I know you want healing right now, rest in your heavenly Father's arms and believe with all your heart that he will deliver Coleman from this. God tells us to never give up, & I know you won't give up!!
Belinda I have prayed so hard for your family and God asked me to remind you of these things.
1- You are so strong, he loves you and he wants the best for you and your family.
2- Jesus redeemed you and your family,Since we are no longer sinners, sickness & pain have no right to be in our bodies. You have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. The Gospel of Matthew clearly reveals that the verses are talking about the healing of our physical body.
    Matthew 8:1-17.
Stay focused on Jesus, he will strengthen you by his grace.
3-You are an anointed woman of ministry, the anointed one lives in you, You are a minister of grace, let him keep you from glory to glory.
    Please read Isaiah 61:4-11
God's anointing flows thru you,God will restore everything, generational curses are broken,
Verse 11-your hands are filled with the power of God. Reach out and touch others (Coleman) with His love, and you will see God's glory manifested in and through your life. Love you Christy Patton

  8. Coleman,

We continue to pray unceasingly for you and give praise to our Almighty Lord for the answered prayers.
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for thou art my praise. Jeremiah 17:14
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17
We lift you up to the Lord. We love you, keep fighting, we need you home.

    Belinda & Eric,
We continue to pray for you and your family, for your endurance, for strength, and for peace within you knowing that the Lord hears all of our prayers and will heal Coleman.

  10. Matthew 18: 18-20 “ I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

    Father God,
Your Word tells us that whatever is bound on earth will be bound in heaven. We bind these diseases that are attacking Coleman’s body and ask that You cast them from his body, in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Your Word also tells us that if two or more on earth agree about anything we ask for, it will be done and where we gather in Your name You are with us. Lord, All around the world Your followers are standing in agreement that Coleman be healed and restored to full and complete health. We have come together in Your name and we are so grateful that You are with us, You listen to our petitions, You love and support us. I pray all the Hinkefent family be blessed and lifted up by the great love that can only come from You.
    Thank you Father.

  13. Lord I pray for those surrounding Coleman who are working dilgently on his behalf. So much of their life affects their attitudes and level of energy to spend on his behalf. So Lord, may your peace spread out amongst Hamburg. May your love be contagious. May your will be sought after. Then bring these technicians, nurses, doctors, administrators, priest, volunteers, to work today with clear minds and a spirit of willingness to go the extra mile on behalf of all who are ill and needing their 110%. Belinda, I know that those who are in ICU can hear you reading these post. If you know their names, speak them on our behalf, letting them know that the love that is being poured out on Coleman's behalf is from the same source that has given us Jesus Christ as a Saviour that they to may see that He is a risen, living saviour and they can have that love as well. I pray that many witness your faith in Christ and come to a personal saving knowledge. May this be jewels stored for Coleman's crown of life. May we live this day in testimony to Christ saving grace. Amen!

  15. Belinda and Eric,

Through the network of Precept leaders, I have received some e-mails from believers in Germany who want to be available to help you all, and to pray for you.

One of them sent an e-mail to a pastor friend of theirs, and apparently he found the hospital that Coleman is in and has already been there and prayed with Coleman, but missed you all.

He left a note with his contact information with your doctor. I just thought I'd let you know so you'd be sure to ask for it.

He pastors a Calvary Chapel in Homburg.

    We're praying today.

    Love,
    Jes

  16. Never, never, never, never give up. We certainly won't.

Lord, please grant the doctors wisdom and discernment and the tools they need to treat Coleman properly. But Lord, we also know that you need none of these trappings of medicine. You can heal Coleman in an instant and befuddle the doctors. We ask that it be Your will to heal him, whether through the use of medicine or not. Please, Lord, cure all the illness that Coleman is suffering, and restore him to life and health. In Your Son's name...

Eric, Belinda, Emil, Jordan, and family and friends with me, I pray that you and we will have the strength, faith, and endurance to never, never, never, never give up. I pray that we will not fall asleep as the disciples did in the garden, but will continue to stand watch and pray with you and for you.

    Love to you all.

  20. While I know that this blog is not the place for "preaching," I thought perhaps you would overlook it in my case.

The passage from Romans 8 takes on a greater significance today. I was thinking about Rom
8:26 ("the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words") and how accurately it describes how I feel -- words simple fail me in knowing how to pray. I know the outcome I and you desire, but there are no eloquent words to express it. Yet the context of verse 26 is eloquent and I find it very powerful today.

I hope you find renewed strength through this passage.
    Romans 8:18-28 (NASB95)
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope
that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
    In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

  22. Coleman,

I am so amazed that you have fought this hard against these problems. You always have been pretty tough. These past few days I cannot stop thinking about our childhood friendship. Shooting each other with airsoft guns, launching potatos into the neighborhood pool, riding 4wheelers on your property. I will always cherish our friendship. I know the Lord will deliver you through this battle. I love you so much brother. Get well.

  23. Oh Father God, You are the Lord who heals, and we know that if You are willing that You can heal him, we selfishly ask for that healing from You. You could speak and it be done, and we know that Your will is perfect and we pray that the very center of Your will for Coleman and his family is where You keep them. Sustain them as they walk with You through this and lean into all of who You are. Holy Spirit comfort Coleman and the family I Pray. Jesus we know that You are at the Fathers right hand interceding on Coleman’s behalf and the family as well. Oh God that they may sense You at this time. Draw very near to them I pray.

I ask that You grant Your wisdom to the doctors that surpasses their own, whether they know You or not. I pray that only the decisions and treatments that would catapult them and keep them in the very center of Your will be made. Lord You are busy working everywhere and You are busy working there and in many ways. Shine through them and let souls be saved and impacted for eternity there I pray.

God touch and whisper to Coleman today and comfort his body. You know the source of everything and do the Work that only You can do as we lift Coleman to You and entrust Him to Your care. Stop what needs to be stopped and make happen what needs to happen. Flow through Coleman’s body with all of who You are Father, for all of what he needs. We lift Coleman to You, for this battle that he is in belongs to You and we ask You to reign in this battle, and give insight and comfort to his loved ones. Sustain and comfort in only the ways that You alone are able to do.

We ask it in Jesus precious name,
    Amen.

  24. Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above him there's no other, Jesus is the way
Jesus is the answer for the world today
Above him there's no other, Jesus is the way

If you have some questions in the corners of your mind
And traces of discouragement and peace you can not find
Reflection of the old past, They seem to face you every day
There's one thing I know for sure that Jesus is the way

I know you got mountains that you think you can not climb
I know that your skies have been dark, You think the sun won't shine
In case you don't know, I'm here to tell you that the World of God is true yeah
And everything that He's promised, I tell you he would do it for you
    Let me tell you that

Please allow the doctors to find a way to heal his liver. Thank you for placing him in such a wonderful hospital. Please continue to bring comfort and rest to Eric and Belinda. Father, pour your love, grace, and mercy out onto this family.

  27. This song has got me through a lot of tough times in my life. I pray that Jesus wraps Coleman and his family in His arms of love during this time of need.

You may be down and feel like God
    has somehow forgotten
that you are faced with circumstances
    You can't get through.
And right now it seems there's no way out
    And you're going under.
But God's proved time and time again
He will take care of you.

And he will do it again,
He'll do it again. He will do it again.
If you just take a look
    At where you are now
    And where you have been.
Hasn't He always come through for you?
He's the same now as then.
    You may not know how,
    You may not know when,
    But He'll do it again.

God knows the things that you're going through.
And He knows how you're hurting.
And you see, God knows just how your heart
    Has been broken in two.
But He's the God of the sun, the moon, and the stars,
    And he is your Father.
If He can calm the storm
I know He'll find the way to fix it for you.

He's still God, and He's fighting for you
Yes, He's still God and He's never change
Oh, I know that He's God
    And He's fighting for you
Just like Moses, just like Daniel
    Just like Meshach, Shadrach, Abednego
He'll do it again for you, He'll do it again,
If you just take a look at where you are now
    and where you have been
Hasn't He always come through for you,
He's the same now as then
You may not know how, you may not know when,
    but He'll do it again

You may not know how, you may not know when, but He'll do it again.

  28. Coleman, you have made it so far!! I know you are going to get through this with the help of our Lord and Savior! You are fighting so hard to stay with us, you have beaten all the statistics, you continue to fight. I pray that the Lord heals you in such a way that it impacts more people then you could ever imagine, that astounds the doctors and nurses, and brings nonbelievers to bow down at the foot of the cross of Christ.

We love you so much Coleman. Hang in there and stay strong!

Lord i pray you continue to just bring peace to Belinda, Eric, Jordan, Emil and I, Colemans friends and other family! I can see Emil has more faith in you bringing Coleman back to the strong young man that he has awlays been, then he has ever had in anything else. I know that were not skilled to understand what you have planned, but we just PRAY so desperately that your will is to bring him home. We cant stress it enough we need him to come home to be with his family, friends, and beautiful fiancee. Please touch Colemans body, heal him so fast, and give everyone this Christmas miracle we long for. In your precious name.

You can beat this Coleman we wont give up hope! Were all standing by your side rooting you on!

  30. Coleman,

Every time I update this blog and see the numbers of visitors increase exponentially, I am reminded that God has put you in this place for a mighty purpose. With no effort of your own, you are shining his light into the darkness across this nation and around the world. Who could have known that the fun loving little blonde boy Kelley and I spent so much time babysitting would turn out to be such a silent and powerful evangelist?

I am in constant prayer that God heals your body, that he makes it so clear to the doctors what the correct treatments are and that he makes your body ready to receive them. I cannot stop thinking of you and your phenomenal parents as you are in this hospital room so far from where we want you to be. But I can see that my desires pale in comparison to what God has planned for you. I stand amazed at what he has done with your life. What a testimony you will have to proclaim when he returns you home to us.

Never forget that you are loved beyond measure. The tender care you feel when your mom and dad hold your hand is miniscule in comparison to the shower of joy that pours out of our Father when he thinks of you. Hold on to the Father and cling to his strength.

"For I know that plans I have for you" declares the Lord. I wait in great anticipation to see the outcome.

We all love you. Hang in there.

    Rochelle
