2:45 PM Homburg - Coleman continues to need prayer for his bleeding. Though Coleman is technically stable, meaning that his bodily functions are being maintained by drugs and devices at acceptable levels and the bleeding itself is not currently life threatening, the doctors cannot perform a liver biopsy through his vein until they arrest the continued bleeding. In addition to his nose, last night there was bleeding from his abdomen area.
Again, the doctors express that they cannot understand why he has problems with his liver. These doctors are not giving up on him - Thank God he is where he is - this fact is a miracle in itself.
Please pray without ceasing that Coleman's blood chemistry reaches a level that will allow his physicians to find answers that may save his life.

Lord we praise you for your mighty works!
ReplyDeleteWe slept last night but we did not rest. With every toss and every turn a prayer was uttered for our precious loved one, Coleman.
As we awakened this morning we realized how Coleman's battle is a picture of all of us in our human condition. Just as the toxins in Coleman's blood are attempting to ravage him and take over his body, so sin and unrighteousness separate us from God. But the work of Christ on the Cross takes away the power of sin and cleanses us so that we share in the righteousness of the Righteous One.
Father we know that Coleman has received spiritual cleansing from you and is a child of yours. We pray that just as you have cleansed him spiritually, that you will also cleanse the toxins from his body and that all of his organs will regain full function.
Your Word tells us that you will not allow a trial in our life that is beyond what we can bear. Are we there yet? Father I pray that we have already reached the deepest part of the valley and that you are leading us up to the mountain top. We know that you are refining not just Coleman, Eric, Belinda and their family, but you are refining all of us.
Teach us, refine us, mold us, so that we may glorify and praise you all the days of our lives.
I am thinking of and praying for all three of you and the rest of your family. You have so many people who care about and love you and are holding you in their thoughts and prayers. God bless you all, Bill W.
ReplyDeleteEach one of you, Coleman, Eric & Belinda, are in our prayers. Wisdom for the doctors, and peace, rest and healing for you all.
ReplyDeleteGod’s great compassion for us brought about the incarnation of His only Son. His physical life on earth was a tangible manifestation of that compassion. Many of Jesus’ witnessed miracles were the direct result of His compassion for others. Often in response to the heavy-hearted, grief stricken and suffering he worked miracles. We all know He sees our heavy hearts and know that He is an all compassionate God.
ReplyDeleteFor Coleman we all pray for the same Miracle. As believers In Christ we find the greatest comfort in the fact that the most remarkable miracle and act of compassion ever brought about has already been accomplished on Coleman’s and our behalves through Christ’s redemptive work. The Salvation which we as believers receive is free to all for the asking. But yet when we become believers in Christ we are not our own. For you see we have been purchased at a great price to our heavenly Father. Therefore we belong to Him and our all knowing Father knows what is best for us. We as believers know He will do what is best for us in His Plan whether it be by life or by death. His Will will be accomplished and He will be glorified …this is assured and unchangeable. Yes… we must continue to ask God the desires of our hearts and trust Him for the outcome. We know what He can do if He so wills and we will not cease our prayers until He answers. Eric, Belinda, Emil, Coleman, Heather, Jordan and the entire Hinkefent Family there’s a host of saints continually praying on your behalves a number which is becoming impossible to quantify. Be still and know that He is God.
- - Please know all of our love is there with you, Roger and Sally

Praying this morning. It's 8:51 in Phoenix and we up and thinking about you all this morning.

We are also very aware of the miracles of the moment... praying over and over, love, Suzy and Jack
ReplyDeleteLittle Erica, your Regent family is praying for you, your brother Coleman and the rest of your family. May you all feel the comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteFather God, shepherd this precious family through the trials that they are enduring; hold them close to your heart and be merciful to them. Help them to know they are loved and prayed for. We pray Your will be done, and that even now You are whispering words of comfort straight to Coleman's heart, even as He rests in the palm of Your Hand.(Salisbury, NC)
ReplyDeleteI was reading in my Daily Light devotional this morning and want to share the encouragement I received.
ReplyDeleteJohn 17:9,10,15,16
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
1Corinthians 2:12 We have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
We praise God for last night's miracle, but we are still on our knees with you!!
Praying for you and your family. God is listening and He is there with you. Lean on Him.
ReplyDeleteAlmighty Father, I lift up this family to You and ask that You step in with answers and healing. Lord, You tell us to bring our needs to You and I am doing this now. I thank You for being such a gracious and merciful God. Thank You for hearing us when we cry out to You. In the precious Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen.

ReplyDeleteI am prayign daily for you. Coleman, I am so proud of the man you became. I remember you running around on your shoes that had wheels on the bottom, man the good ol days. I know that you one of th strongest people I know....I know that you can do anything through Christ, I am constantly praying for you, Belinda and Eric and the rest of the family. The faith your family has in our Lord is nothing short of amazing... We are praying for you and love all of you so much! Lisa (Howell) Smith
ReplyDeletePraying still without ceasing. Father God give the doctors wisdom. Coleman, know that we love you and are so proud of you for fighting. You are amazing and wonderful and so loved. Belinda, I am amazed by your wisdom and hopefulness and faith. Your heart is so big for others and I'm amazed how you continue to think of everyone but yourself even now. I pray that god covers you with peace and comfort. Eric, I cannot begin to imagine what you are feeling. Mike said he cried at work yesterday reading the posts and said the feeling of powerlessness and loss at what to do or say was ovewrwhelming. His heart is with you and he is praying for you as only another father can. We love you all so much and we take comfort in knowing God loves you even more. God please heal Coleman. Please help the doctors know what to do.
ReplyDeleteTo my extended family, Coleman, Amil, Eric, and Belinda: I send all my love, my thoughts, and my prayers to you all. You are in all of our hearts and minds as you go through this. May God pour his love and mercy out on you all as you go through this tough time. We love you, we miss you, and we can't wait to have you returned to us safely.
ReplyDeleteHear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:1,2
ReplyDeleteBelinda, Eric, Coleman and the rest of your precious family - Our hearts are indeed overwhelmed, words are hard to find, but God has given us so many promises that lift us and give us that light that shows us the way to walk. Belinda, I know that God has been preparing us in the last few weeks of study for just this time. I keep going back and reading the Scriptures and the highlights from Just Enough Light and I'm claiming them all for you.
Sometimes what seems like the darkest step we've ever been on comes just before the brightest light we've ever experienced. Lord, may this be so today!
Regardless of what your situation is at this moment, God has an abundance of blessings for you. We are rejoicing with you for each blessing.
In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 - Be bold, we're all crying out with you.
Coleman, There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18 and Psalm 56:13 says...you have delivered my soul from death. Have You not kept my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? - We claim this in the name of Jesus.
This prayer is one we read on Sunday and I am praying it again today for you all and for all of those standing with you. We love you all.
Lord, we can only make it through this time if we walk closely with you. While there are many things that can happen in life that are frightening or overwhelming, we know that Your power is greater than all of them. Even when what we experience is too much for us, it is never too much for You. Anyghing we face is nothing alongside Your ability to redeem it. Lord, we bring before You, Coleman, and ask that You would work Your redemption in him. May his life be a testimony of the power of Your glory and grace.
And one of my favorite, from 2 Corinthians 4 -
We are pressed on eery side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. Through suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies...Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
Amen

ReplyDeleteplease follow this link as it provides information regarding experimental treatment for VOD. Your doctors may already know the information, but if not, it is worth mentioning. praying for all of you diligently...Coleman WILL survive this.
Philippians 4:4-7: Be full of joy in the Lord always. I will say again, be full of joy.
ReplyDeleteLet everyone see that you are gentle and kind. The Lord is coming soon.
Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.
And God's peace which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we have much to be thankful for, and much to ask. We thank you that you have answered prayers, that Coleman is stable, and that Eric and Belinda are sustained. Please guide the doctors so they will know where to look for answers and what to do - may they not give up either. Help us all to not lose heart, but to gain even more strength and faith as we go through this day, constantly bringing Coleman before you. Please stop the bleeding and allow the liver biopsy, then let it happen without any issues. Protect Coleman during the time - we know you are there with him, and I pray that You would have a unique and special relationship with him during this ordeal. Our desire is healing and restoration, and we will continue to pray for it with confidence, knowing you hear our cries. Thank you for allowing us to bring our requests directly to you. In Jesus name, Amen.
Eric and Belinda - your families continue to stand by you prayer and in spirit.
Dear Eric and Belinda,
ReplyDeleteI am praying that your faith in God will be a strong witness to all those around you in Germany, and that in the midst of this storm, God will turn the hearts of those around you who do not know Him from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. I am also praying that He will bring other believers to your side to comfort you.
We stand committed to hold Coleman up for continued strength and healing.

Eric & Belinda - Merle & I have recently moved back to Tulsa (after 15 yrs. in Colorado), & have learned of your son's 'condition' through our extended Christian family (from Patrian Church). Please know that prevailing prayer is going out here for Coleman, you two, & the entire Hinkefent family!
ReplyDeleteWe trust our Lord for His will for Coleman - as He is the Great Comforter, He is also the Great Physician!
Love & prayers,

Coleman what a young fighter you are. You are a soldier in the Lords army. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that your blood chemistry stabilizes and all the necessary testing can be done. We thank you father for all that you've done and mostly for what you are about to do. Satan we DEMAND you in the name of JESUS CHRIST to leave...you have no holds on this young man. Your not wanted. Coleman is a believer and will forever be under the outreached arms of God. SATAN you are under our feet. We continue our walk with God and there is no room for you in our lives.
ReplyDeleteHeavenly father I pray for peace and comfort for all Coleman's family. I pray specifically for the bleeding to stop. I know my prayers are heard and will not return void. I thank you father for sending your son, and he took the stripes on the cross so that this young man could be healed. In Jesus name I pray.

CoolMan, I love you and am continually praying for you! Keep fighting but allow yourself to rest for when you are weak he is is strong. Continue listening to the words your Mom is speaking to you. Everyone is rooting you on and cannot wait for your safe return home.
ReplyDeleteYou have always been my little cousin and I thought maybe I could teach you a thing or two or at least try to keep you out of trouble! Today I realised just how much you have taught me. You have taught me to always trust in the Lord with all my heart, to be strong on the darkest of days, to love like each day is my last and to cherish every moment because it is a true blessing.
Emil, Heather, Belinda, Eric and Jordan, I admire your strength and know Coleman can feel it. He loves you all dearly as do I. Today is a new day...a day blessed with miracles and healing.
There are people all over the US and world fighting with you Coleman, in prayer. The Father hears our prayers! We were encouraged today with a bit of good news. We give Him Thanksgiving and Praise His Name for this. We continue to pray for a miracle! Love, Pat Hill

Just wanted to let you know that we are praying for Coleman and the family! My heart breaks for you.
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing thing to feel the power of people who don't even know you personally, praying for you. In 2005, when my 4 year old nephew got brain cancer, we received many e-mails from people who were praying for him and our family. It was very encouraging. It's an amazing thing to be part of this Family of God! And to know that the Lord is always with us and he knows what is best for us.
We heard about Coleman from our homeschool yahoo group here in AZ. (Jesica sent it) We have been praying for him ever since then. We printed out his picture from the webpages and have it on our prayer board.
Remember Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
