Coleman continues to hang in there but appears to be weakening. We will know more definitively of his status after the doctors make their rounds, but essentially - at least from one of the junior doctors - the battle continues to be fluid removal from his lungs and maintaining his blood pressure. They continue to increase the pharmaceuticals that are intended to produce this effect to levels higher than they would give an older person. Again, they can only pursue these extreme options to a point and their prognosis remains extremely dire.
And yet here we are.
We pray for God's will and ask that you continue to lift Coleman up.
Father you awakened me just minutes after this message was sent. In fact the first time I checked email there was no news and only 10 minutes later when I checked again the update was there -- only 7 minutes after the message was sent.
ReplyDeleteLord I know that You hear us. We need You Lord. We ask for Your intervention in this medical situation and we lift Coleman to You.

Father, we are in desperate need of you. We ask that you give Coleman strength to fight on. We ask that you heal his body and give him peace. We thank you for bringing him so far, for the miracles and healings that have already taken place. We know that it is only through You, and in You that we exist. Father grant the nurses and doctors wisdom to administer your healing touch. We ask that you would strengthen Eric and Belinda, their family and Jordan. In Christ’s name, Amen.

Eric, Belinda, and Coleman,
ReplyDeleteYou are our first thought when we rise. We continue to stand with you and trust our mighty Lord for Coleman's healing and your peace and strength.
Ps 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
Keep fighting Coleman. We love you all.

God, if it fits your plan, we'd sure like to keep Coleman for a while longer.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Mark
Coleman,
ReplyDeleteBe strong. And when you cannot be strong, let God be strong for you. We love you very much. Your pain and suffering is touching so many, do not give up the fight.
Belinda and Eric,
My heart goes out to you, time and time again, as you sit and can do nothing but pray and rest in the Lord. May He comfort you and give you peace and patience for His timing.
Lord, let Your peace settle upon Coleman's family as they continue, as we all continue, to pray and wait for Your healing hand to touch Coleman and make him whole and healthy again. I can believe no other future, for I have faith that You will heal him. The faith of a mustard seed can move mountains, and Lord, I believe there is more faith than a mustard seed in the prayers You have heard over the last several days on Coleman's behalf. Please, Lord, move this mountain of sickness from Coleman. Please cure him and bring him and his wonderful parents back to us.
I wake up in the middle of the night, and have to run to check the news. My heart aches for all of you. Coleman has fought so hard, and I'm certain it is his love for family and a love for Jordan that compels him to do so. Coleman, Eric, Belinda, we love you so, so much. Father, you know it is the desire of all our hearts that Coleman stay. We beg You to have mercy on us and heal his body. There will be an irreplaceable hole in too many lives without him. We know that death is not defeat, and none of us want Coleman to suffer; so if he is to go before us, into your glory, to be face to face with You, come for us all soon. We want to be there too.
ReplyDeleteEric and Belinda, may the God of all comfort grant you comfort during these intense days and nights. As I (and many, many othes) ask our heavenly Father to heal Coleman, I long to contribute in a way that seems more concrete to me. But then again, what is more concrete than reminding myself, and perhaps encouraging you, with God's Holy Word: We give thanks to God always for Coleman, beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose him for salvation through sanctification by the Spirt and belief in the truth, to which He called him by the gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ (cf. 2 Thess 2:13-14). Because of Coleman's continued profession of faith in the Lord Jesus, I am confident that our Father raised him from the dead and made him alive in Jesus Christ; therefore, my pray this morning is that the Lord would prosper his physical body as He has his spiritual soul.
ReplyDeleteMay the two of you experience God's love, compassion, and strength.
Please know that I care.
O God, the Strength of the weak and the Comfort of sufferers: by the might of Your command You drive away from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity: Be present in Your goodness with Your servant Coleman, that his cancer may be banished and his strength restored; and that, his health being renewed, he may bless Your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Coleman. Tony Smith, Justin Smith, and Alacia Creek are all there with you in spirit.
ReplyDeleteDear Heavenly Father, We prayer in agreement for the complete and total healing of our brother in Christ, Coleman. We beg You in Jesus Christ's Precious Name that You spare Coleman. He is continues to battle with rising fluids in his lungs and maintaining his blood pressure. Lord, the battle is Yours. Please Lord fight this fight and win so that Coleman's life on this Earth might be spared. In Jesus Christ's name, amen.
ReplyDeleteLord God, our prayers for Coleman and his family come to you heart felt and strong. Please lift him up and heal him. Please guide the doctors to give him the correct medical treatment. Holy Lord God in your merciful name we pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift to you this day Coleman as well as his family to the throne of grace. We pray for your healing touch on Coleman, as YOU are the Great Physician. Please give your overwhelming sense of peace to all there, and your wisdom to the doctors as they treat Coleman. Please stablize his blood pressure, keep the fluid from his lungs. You are the God of hope, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, with your word all is made well. We pray for a miracle, we thank you for all that you've done already. In Jesus name, Amen
ReplyDeletelil Coleman:
ReplyDeleteWe won't stop praying for you and your family. You are on my mind constantly. We love you..

Know you have been prayed for this morning and will be in our prayers all day!
ReplyDeleteMerciful God
ReplyDeleteYou have told us to pray without ceasing... therefore, we continue to pray for Coleman's full and complete recovery. You have given us a parable to teach us to keep on asking and asking, therefore, we ask you Father to heal Coleman, give his body strength to fight this fight and restore him. We ask that you continue to give strength and endurance to Eric and Belinda. We thank you that you are our heavenly Father and that you are good and compassionate.
Roger and Sally
Father, we praise you for one more day and we respectfully ask for one more. When that day is done, we will ask for another.
ReplyDeleteWe know your ways are higher than our ways and that you have known each moment of these days since eternity past. We trust your plan. No matter how your plan unfolds, we will trust you. But as for now, we ask that you strengthen Coleman's tired body. We ask that you do a miracle today and we will not stop asking.
Father, comfort Eric and Belinda. Hold them up in your arms when they can no longer stand. Calm your precious children.
In your Son's holy name,
Amen
Psalm 100
ReplyDeleteShout triumphantly to the LORD, all the earth.
Serve the LORD with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Acknowledge that the LORD is God.
He made us, and we are His —
His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the LORD is good, and His love is eternal;
His faithfulness endures through all generations.
Psalm 91: 1-3a:
The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
He Himself will deliver you….
Lord, we continue to pray for Coleman, knowing You hear us. Lord we know You love Coleman. Be with him now and let him dwell in the Shadow of the Almighty. You know our desire is for healing - we want Coleman back. We enter Your court with thanksgiving and praise for what You have shown us thus far. But Lord, we want to see more. May You be glorified in all that happens, and may You be glorified by hearing the faithful and unending prayers of Your children. Be with Eric and Belinda now - gvie them Your peace and comfort. Be with Emil, Heather and Jordan as the distance is difficult - give them an extra portion of comfort as only You can.
Belinda, Remember how we encourage one another by telling each other where we see God in our lives and one of my favorite is the cardinal that comes each year to my window. He's here this morning. The food is on the windowseal. They come. I don't know how they know where to go when food wasn't even out yet. But they come. May God lead your Spirit today to where it needs to be fed. May the person that is to feed you be aware of his role that God is directing. May we all praise God for His finite details that show us how much He is in control of all of life. Sing God's praises and hear it on the lips of all of His creation. Love you B
ReplyDeleteBrother continue to trust in the Lord and the strength of His might. Remember that nothing can separate us from the love of god in Christ our lord!

So many prayers of people who love you all. We want to ask why and there is no answer now. But even in this time, God is glorified and His name is being lifted up moment by moment as we continue to bring Coleman before Him. May you feel the awesome love and support for Coleman and all your family and know that we all are standing with you as surely as though we were in that room. We are singing praises even in this storm.
ReplyDeleteFather God, we lift Coleman to you this morning and ask that you put your protective covering over him. I pray that this fluid will begin to dissipate, that his vital signs will stabilize and his strength will not waver. You alone can do these things and all who watch will know it is by your grace and mercy and love alone. Be with Belinda and Eric right now. Give them your special peace, even in this dark place. Help us all to know that your will is being done and that you hear each prayer being raised. We see the miracles you have done in the past, we see your mighty hand moving over so many today, and we claim your promise that you will never leave us or forsake us in the days to come, whatever they bring. We thank you for so many in so many places who are coming before your throne with petitions for Coleman. Hear our prayers, O Lord.
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
